The
first of the guests to arrive on Saturday, May 24, was Nando Gomez,
cartoonist and co-editor of the humor newspaper El Garrotazo,
from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Right after his arrival, Nando went to the autographs session of the
new humor book by Samuca, Hai-Kados, a work done in partnership with
the writer Ricardo Melo.

At
night, arrived in the same flight the cartoonists Ermengol and
Cazares, from Spain. Ermengol and Cazares are also responsible for
the website and the activities of Humoralia (www.humoralia.org) one of the most important sites in the Iberoamerican Graphic Humor
universe.

On the
following day arrived the other guests: Zélio and Ciça Alves Pinto,
Ota, Rodrigo Rosa, Orlando Pedroso, Heitor Pitombo and Osmani Simanca
(Amaral and Sônia Luyten only arrived on the 27th and Emir Ribeiro on
the 30th).
At night, they all went to visit the Old Recife (Recife Antigo), the
part of downtown Recife where is the Malakoff Cultural Observatory
(Observatório Cultural Malakoff), walking along the Bom Jesus Street
and the Zero Mark Plaza (Praça do Marco Zero).
